I wish I could have kept your blower, but I sold it to a fellow in Michigan. I think that a 70 HP tractor on a 35 HP blower may have "broken" your 35 HP blower.

Bob that was actually a good idea. Unfortunately there's a few that think strapping a 35-40 HP implement on a 70 HP or larger tractor is OK. That is until the damage is done.

TBN has taught me wisely.

Hi Doc Bob, you must be south of me, My wife works south of Milwaukee and they got a load of snow, but here in Waupaca, we got none. Oh well, you get to have the fun this time, but I am sure we will get out share this year.. Nice looking rig you have to move lots of snow for you .. enjoy. John

Hey Bob; Glad you received the white stuff we were scheduled to get. Too bad it went south but I'm a patient person. That sure looks like a blower that could handle an airport runway. You never buy undersized and get the trading experience like the rest of us. Enjoy the view and the seat time.

LOL...yes, snow is really cold and a blower that big can shift enough to convert you into a snowman in short order. Sometimes though the wind direction changes often enough to make figuring it out impossible. Thats what cabs are for. :D I didnt have one though...I found that tipping the chute to limit the vertical distance the ejected snow travelled helps. That is the 'stream' of snow stays more compact, is airborne less time making it less likely to be blown around. Sometimes though nothing helps exc. a good hood and facemask. :D

You are so right! Next time I will tip it.

How crowded is your operator station, any overhead shots of seat, steering wheel, controls placement? I'm thinking that with the blower on the rear, it would be a big help to have a seat that would swivel, add a handle to HST pedal(?) then you could turn your body 90% to steering wheel, use handle to operate forward reverse, and maybe not "crick up" your neck. Some construction equipment the whole operator station will swing from facing front to rear.

Hi Bob,
Got any estimate of how many feet per minute you were traveling while you were blowing that 12"? How big a bite does the blower take; 7 ft.? Was it faster than clearing it with a blade? How long were you on it?

My New Holland TN70A does not come with a swivel seat. Wish it did :D .

I don't have an HST (70HP tractor, not an option). I have a power shuttle.

Operator station is not crowded, just enough room for me.

Bob

About 1.3 MPH.

84 inch bite.

I can't tell you if it was faster, since honestly, I have so little experience with either the blower of bucket. My guess is that it is much faster, since one pass does it all. Once I get the hang of it (blower) I will be even faster.
