Thank you old macdonald- that's probably one of a few combinations I did not try. I will check it out.
Thanks for the video DFB. I have not used the vertical yet. I sprayed again Friday night with better results. I lifted the sprayer unit higher and played with angle with just fan. I was covering 2 rows very well and catching some of a third. When I moved over I would get two more and the remaining part of the partial row covered. This way I used 45 gallons to the acre. Travel speed was roughly 1.5 to 2 mph. I think I am going to put something out to see how well the mist covers. I know there are products for this but I was going to use the blue shop towels on a roll. The vertical volute may be the cats meow for all my crops. I thought about it while I was spraying, it may send more water pattern into the air stream and give better coverage. One thing I do know: with sprinklers in the field- run water line next to bed and stake poles for sprinklers to hold it there. I had it laid out like this but one row was done correctly. A loose line that gets under the tire is trouble. You cannot drive anywhere to avoid it and lugs roll and spin it. Breaks stakes and every thirty feet you have to stop and move sprinkler out of the way. Fun fun fun. Experience is not always the best teacher but the lessons you learn defiantly stick with you
