New Stihl 260

I love the no brainer caps on the 026 pro I picked up. Why oh why over engineer such a simple thing as a gas and oil cap that has worked fine for hundreds of years as a screw on/off.:laughing:

I've never had a problem with the caps except when overfilled? Just have to remember white half down.

Little tune up on the trade in 026 pro, running 3/8 stihl RS chain and 7T. Would prefer .325 on this saw. JMO.

Testing in last years poplar.

exactly...i have 3 260's and only get a pant leg covered in oil if you overfill them ! 16 inch with 325 chain a 026/ms260 is unbeatable in it's class !

You'll like the 260. It's "right-sized" for my small farm. Small enough for easy handling but big enough for the tough jobs. Watch them there flip caps. They'll trick you into thinking they are locked. I poured a half tank of bar oil down my pants leg and on my boot. Bar oil stays a while on pants and boots.

Did the same with my new 250 the other day... oil all down my pant leg.

I will just have to be more careful... it sure does start nice.

I have had zero problems with the gas cap but the bar oil cap seems a bit fussy sometimes.
