Thanks for the help guys. I ordered some permanant switches today. I wen't with the Cole Hersee Rocker switch. A bit pricey $15 each, but they have the dependand and indenedant pilot lights on them. We will see if I can screw them up to. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Pekabu,
What switch was it that you ordered? My dealer installed 3 lights on my ROPS, but I am a little worried about the plain toggle switch they have mounted below the left side of the dash. I was thinking about something like you are describing or perhaps along the lines of the New Holland cruise control switches. Any suggestions??
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Jerry, well I ended up going with the same switches the LAGeorge put on. SPST with on light. I haven't received them yet because they were out of stock. Here is a link to the switch. (hopefully the same as George's). Go 2 Marine

Also, check out this thread. The second attachment is a picture of George's tractor switches. It's a very nice shot.

Anyone know of a good source? )</font>

Hi guys,

Sorry I am late chiming in on this, but I think that Del City carries the type switches that you are looking for. They list a "SURF 'N TURF" switch in their catalog. It comes in a couple of styles with both plain and illuminated in each style. They recommend these for 'marine panels, . . . farm equipment and recreation equipment'.

My wife manages a marine products manufacturer. They fabricate the dashes for a huge chunk of the sport boat industry, of course these dashes contain gauges and switches. I talked to one of their engineers and was advised that they used these switches for a few years until the boat manufacturers wanted different designs. They had no issues with water damage to the switches.

I bought 3 of these along with relays, a fuse block and some other 'stuff' from Del City. One switch was to replace the factory original and the others were for the new forward lights and rear work light on my TC30. With some scrap from her company and a bit of futzing I was able to install them in the lower panel where the single factory light switch was located, turned out pretty nice. (no pictures available)

Sorry to bore you with all this. The important thing is that the switches were $6.04 each. The only problem with this company is that you need a $25.00 minimum order, well for me that was easy!

Web site is delcity.net

Again, sorry for posting this so late.

Don

I remember Del City from many years ago. They are a great company to do business with and have only the best of quality. Thanks for the link.
