new tc 29d gear problem

djradz,

My dealer told me that typically the MC200 is fine for typical use year-round (typically typical?). He told me that with my use of the FEL at max lift capacities that he would not recommend using the MC200 because he thought the fluid would get too warm. Don't know if that is accurate or not but that was his input. Maybe he was just trying to sell more fluid or maybe he was just trying to protect my equipment. Don't know. Any thoughts?

Dave, Take a look on the New Holland web site, they give the specs on both the 134 & 200. I think you'll find sheets of each to compare. The flash point is about the same on either one!

dass,

Looked at the NewHolland web site and did not find anything about the fluids. Could not find a search function and did not find anything in the parts area either. Where do I look? /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

You're right,DaveV, I can't find it either. I thought I saved it in a file but no luck! They might think we're not smart enough to use that kind of data but it sure is GONE ! Darn , I was sure that I saved it. Sorry! dass

OK, I guess we're all talking about the same thing, f200 not MC200 vs MC134. I don't know a thing about hydraulic fluid, but 5w-20 sure sounds thin. Is the MC134 then 20w? There's been lots of discussion on the Kubota side about UDT versus Super UDT. I wonder if this is a similar comparison. Also, I wonder if Super UDT would meet the f200 spec? Anyone know?
