New TC45D owner

After much searching and checking this and other boards, I finally decided on a TC45D with Supersteer, 17LA loader, and Woods 3 point backhoe. They were delivered yesterday. Now the ground is too hard to do anything with them. What do the rest of you do with your tractors when there's no snow to move and the ground is frozen? (I'm having a great time just looking at it, but there should be more!)

Well about the only thing you can do until the ground thaws,read the manuals..practice little w/FEL&BH..visit w/ your NH dealer..work on your project list for the TC45D..become hook on TBN..oh yes drink coffee...hang in there not much longer now. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Congratulations on the new tractor.

Until the weather gets better and you can do some meaningful work, you can always just go drive around and enjoy. If you're fortunate enought to have a few acres, I'm sure the back of the property or the fence lines need checking.

Congratulations Bill! I know what you mean about not having much to do with the tractor this time of year. You could always take some pictures and post them here for all of us to drool over.

Where in Indiana are you located? I'm originally from Indy, now in South Bend. Did you get some ice this morning?

Am in East Central Indiana, east of Muncie. Yes we got some ice this morning. Wife said county roads were terrible when she went to work. Sounds like they'll be better when I go to work this afternoon.

Thanks for the other suggestions. I'm spending time with the manuals, drinking the coffee, and waiting. Sounds like a good suggestion to drive around and check fencerows and in general get used to the controls. Been a long time since I drove a tractor with FEL. Forgot how awkward that made things, and seems like the supersteer compounds it. Practice will be good.

Will try to get good picture with the digital camera and include it in next few days.

All right, great choice. I would love to own this tractor. Surely would like to try out Supersteer. I have to hand it to New Holland, that was a great idea. I checked into the TC45D and concluded it would definitely be my second choice, have a blast, Rat...

I really like that machine and wish I had one. Maybe in a few years I'll get one......

If you live in a rural area, I suggest you drive the tractor down to the local store and put a gallon or two of diesel in, buy a cup of coffee, stand back and watch as everyone admires your new tractor.

Congrats on the new toy Bill. I Too bought a TD45D (only without the supersteer) a few months ago & love it. Just came in from outside plowing some nice snow / slush / ice mixture. The 4WD is the only way to go. You made a great choice & I'm sure you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of it while you work. I have to agree with Mark on what to do when there is nothing to do. (I would love to have that happen) It is the perfect time to accessorize your tractor with more lights & other creature comforts.
