Well boys thanks for the warm welcome to the site.
you asked for Picks you got em but they are much better with the story that goes with it so just grin and bear it.
After some problems from the start things worked out well.
On Fri the dealer called me and let me know the shipper had droped the ball and the new 1540 would not arive untill tuesday? UH wrong!
I need a tractor tomorrow!
Went to another local dealer and tried to buy his 1540 but the financing was not open on saturday. the super guys they were, they traded the one on there lot for the one my dealer had ordered and I was on my way to OK.

Trailering was kinda tricky with no trailer brakes and no load distrib hitch
I highly recomend both before I do that again, but none the less made is safe and sound 500 miles and a day later.
The truck and trailer did an outstanding job for me this week.
I ask allot of my equipment because I cant affored overkill.
I did have problems with two flat front tires on the truck, the east OK county roads rocks did both of them in.
Once we arived (and changed a flat) , the tractor (now named Chief after the OK Indians) was removed from the trailer to start its toure of duty.
I will have to say I know nothing about tractors or how they should perform but mine did exactly what I bought it to do.
I tried to follow the break in instructions as best I could for the first 10 hours of its use after some light mowing and getting used to what this was all about I headed for the thick stuff

Day 2 included more mowing this time heading for larger brush, sticker bushes and allot of vine type growth with high grass that had not seen a tractor in some twenty years or so.
it performed flalessly mowing in 2 low with the revs in the green with a few burst for some of the thick stuff. and yes the Turbo is the way to go
its just achin for that type of stuff. (thanks for the heads up on that).
having the FEL to push it down to get it under the mower was just what it needed to keep me moving and keep the sticker bushes off ME.:p
the 60" BH is a natural fit and has no problems cutting 1 1/2" to 2" stuff
I did hit a couple 2 1/2" and it let me know that it dident like it.
and oh yah just for the record it doesent like bowling ball sized rocks either .
I might need to set my slipper cause I dident hear it once, that I know of.

The second pick is my oldest boy he was driving it the first day, I wont let him mow just yet but by the end of the week had hound found 4 low and I think 2 high, but I dont think he will try that anytime soon
(once I got ahold of him).

day 3 was spent trying to get up to the upper portions of the land.
Everyone who has been there has told me, no way your getting up there.
(I hate negative people)
By the end of the day, we had a road cut and somewhat level to the top.

the box blade got a tooth broke off but I was pushing it kinda hard.
I will put it in a bag and send it back to the box maker for his thoughts.;)

is pretty steep but the truck made it up no problem.

sorry no picks from the top I was so satisfied with my tractor I forgot to take pics.:D
day 4 was spent mowing the top areas and scouting new routs and plans for where I want to build my retirement house.
this photo was taken last year but you get the point as why I wanted to get up there.

The last pick is one about half way up the hill / clif we cut out a spot and had a fire and hot chocolate for the boys and me. they enjoyed the freedom to shoot guns, chop trees, build fires and overall just be boys. Priceless !!!!!
my two work horses Chevy and Massy done me right so far.
