"loose" or "wander", especially in the curves.....both empty, and with my tractor and trailer hooked up.....the first trip from the shop to pick up my tractor at the Kubota dealers I noticed it kind of "fishtailing"...the old tires were worn down and one got a knot on it, so a local shop replaced them with Sailun Terramax HT's...the same size and weight rating/load capacity as the older tires....I pulled over in a vacant lot and visually checked and grabbed and shook each wheel to make sure nothing felt loose, and it didn't........after I got home, I researched this and found that a lot of dually truck owners have reported the same thing happening after new tires being installed and that is was most likely due to the taller tread moving around more or maybe from sidewall flex?....I should have checked the air pressure when I first got the truck back from the shop...just 5 miles away.....this showed up more as I was going around 45-50mph with the tires warmed up....some folks commented that lowering the air pressure down from the 80psi max on this size tire(for maximum weight capacity) seemed to help by flattening the tread down to get more of it in contact with the road....makes sense to me that a deep tread fully inflated would tend to "wobble" around......not a good feeling, especially towing my tractor in the 40+mph range, especially in curves......they said after 1,000-2,000 miles, the tires felt more stable.....I had planned on maybe having the garage check to see nothing got left "undone/un-tightened" under there, but I suspect it's just what I described above....anyone else ever have this happen?.......

I got new tires, exact replacement, and they felt really unstable when I punched it on a curve and bridge. They settled out after a couple hundred miles. I still don't understand why.

I had a similar experience with new tires on a bobtail truck several years ago. Definitely felt different for a while. It either went away or I got used to it.

When I changed my tires this last time. The shop warned me when I chose the tire. They said it would roll in the curves until I got some wear on them. They are now better. Said that any tire that had that tall of tread would do it. These are Goodyears.

I think all the extra tread gives a squishy feeling. A) You'll get used to it. B) They'll wear down.

I think the taller/new lugs on the tire have to flex harden before the tires lose that feeling.

Did you get a wheel alignment?

looks like u don't have enough tongue weight. i have a 2001 4 door chevy 1 ton dually an when i load anything on trailer i first measure the bumper height and after loading make sure bumper goes down at least 1" to 1 1/2". if not heavy enough the trailer will fishtail. i have a 20' car hauler with steel bed and have hauler more than i care to remember. if you have to, bring out a bathroom scale and measure the tounge weight on the dolly wheel. my trailer is long enough to pull forward to get that bumper drop. that backhoe i think is heavier than loader and engine. hope this helps
