It has been over 3 years since I bought my TN so I was not sure what the going price was for a new TN. So I spent a couple hours talking with my dealer and having a blast running numbers. This is what I learned,

Some of the upgrades that the TN's are getting now are nice. My favorite is the fact that when you order a TN with loader it comes standard with 3 remotes so that you still have a free remote out the back to run a disc or what ever. Also, they are going with mid mount hose couplers so you don't have to unplug all the way from the back and have such long hoses running under the tractor. Another new option that is nice for slippery days is they are going to put rubber mats on the floor of the TN's. He didn't hear anything about a TN 60 yet but they also just heard about the TS-A however they only have pricing info and no literature yet. While I was there these are the prices for a TN 55 and 65 with FWA, large ags, 8x8 Synchro Command tranny. 55 - $20,100 65 - $20,825 32LA loader at time of purchase $4,500 after you bought and decided you should have bought the loader $5,600. I was having fun today so I figured I would post what I learned as it might help someone looking for a TN. Later.

Robert,

Sounds like a good deal.

The mid mount loader couplings is very nice.
Why a 55 or a 65? Is the cost of the 70 and 75 only slightly more. ~ same weight just more horses.

Of course this is a slippery slope..... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
what about a TL? A non cab TL would probably not be that much more.
A lot more weight but a good deal more HP also.

I wasn't looking for myself, I was getting prices for a couple friends and enjoy visiting my dealer as they do a lot to help me out so I try to help them sell tractors. As for my future tractors, right now I am buying a 1920 from another member and am quite happy with that deal but if we do aquire some more land that we are planning on I will probally jump to a TS-A or a TL. I will worry about all those prices when/if the time comes. Right now my dealer is getting me a old Ford 4100 they are bringing in on trade and going to sell it to me at cost so I have a new project /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

As for the cost difference of the 70 and 75, I don't know. When I looked 3 years ago they did not have the 70 but the 75 was a couple thousand more then the 65. I might have to stop in and find out know /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I was just looking at the TN 65-75. It was just like you experience. The dealer had 65's and 75's and no 70's. The 75 was a couple thousand more.

The interesting thing is that I just traded in my 1977 Ford 4100. It was a low profile model with short wide tires. It worked great. I never really had any problems with it. I upgraded because of the great financing thats out there and the way I was using the tractor I figured it was only a matter of time before I pushed it too far. It was sad when the dealer came to pick it up.

Except when I was looking 3 years ago New Holland didn't even release the TN 70 yet. The series was 55, 65, and 75. The TN's are nice machines and you must feel like you are driving a luxury car now compared to the 4100 /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif My TN replaced an old Ford 4000. We still have the 4600 TLB which is a fun machine to run /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Take care.
