I looked at NH before I ended up with the JD. I really liked them but at the time the JD was a better deal...congratulations... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

MikeF,

Enjoy, these are great machines!

Maybe you could get a TL for the wife?
/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif You know.....tell her that she deserves a better tractor than you.

Mike I would look at it from the positive side, wife gets on tractor and chores get done. You get on tractor, more time to play. I really don't see a problem here do you? Welcome to BLUE, enjoy your machine!!!

You'll love it. I have the same tractor. Just one correction, I think what you have is the hydraulic power shuttle shift. This is not the same as the hydro transmissions the guys with the smaller tractors talk about. They have a floor pedal that gives them constantly variable forward and reverse speeds depending on how much the pedal is pushed. What we have is a 16 forward, 16 reverse transmission with the ability to go from forward to reverse with the flip of a hand lever without the clutch. The shifting is fully modulated so that even if you do it at high speed, the transition is very smooth. So when are you putting the stereo in? If it's like mine, the speakers, antenna and wiring are all there.

Enjoy

That is a nice touch.
I have not got around to adding a CD player yet although it was pre-wired.

Maybe XM radio and a set of boise noise damping head sets. But a little hard to jusitfy to the CFO.

The Pioneer unit I put in the tractor actually has Satellite radio built in. I haven't used it because I don't use the radio enough to justify it.I may have to add a couple of speakers and a bass box to overcome some of the noise when I'm working.... The noise cancelling headphones may be just the think... I worked as an engineer for Bose for years and I think they make just what the doctor ordered.

The tractor is great! plenty of power and a nice ride!! I have mowed some pasture and aerated two acres for seeding. 20 acres of hay to mow tomorow if the rain holds off.

I am planning on a cd player of some type but does anyone know what brand & model # radio comes in them from NH. I would like to buy the adapters so I dont have to splice into the radio harnes. and if I have a brand & maybe a modle that the tractor was wired for Crutchfield will have the right plugs.

As far as I know, radios do not come in them from New Holland. They are dealer installed accessories. I purchased a radio harness from my dealer for about $35 which plugged into the existing tractor harness and I think had Audiovox connectors on the other end. I cut off the Audiovox end and spliced it into the connector that came with the Pioneer radio. Other than the fact that the harness came with no diagram (and my dealer had a little trouble locating it's part number) and I had to use an VOM to determine what the wires did, it was quick and easy.

Congratulations Mike on a great tractor. I recently purchased the TN75 (no cab) w/FEL. It is a great machine.

The cab must be nice, but being in the south I opted for other costly goodies instead, especially since I don't use mine to make a living.

Andy has the same machine you do, and he was very influential and helpful in the decision I made.

How many hats did you get? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Be Careful and enjoy.
