Unfortunately, it has rained constantly since I received the tractor. First big project was some repair work to our gravel drive. Haven't even had the pleasure of starting the tractor since parking it for the photo op. Looking forward to giving it a workout. I'm hoping to have a good experience with Branson. Dealer seemed committed to the product. They have a small repair shop. Probably fit about 5 tractors in it. They do repairs on all makes and models (except JD....I need to inquire about that one). Shop had two Bransons, 1 Kioti and a long line of older makes and models to be repaired. Appears they are doing a brisk business. Hoping the Branson DOESN'T need any work anytime soon. I work my tractors, but I also don't "beat them up". So hopefully we will have a good experience.

I have been looking at the Branson's for nearly a year and have narrowed it down to the 4020R or the 4520R. That sure is a nice looking tractor you have there! Keep us posted.

That was the same boat I was in. I decided to jump on the 4020R. They are the last with the Tier 3 engines....No Diesel Particulate Filters!!!

Those things are a headache and rob power / efficiency from the engine.

Thus snagging a 4020R quickly.

Congrats on your big red! What's the story with the power coat vs. paint you mentioned? Power coating is just a way of applying paint, no?

I guess if you think of paint and powder coating as just ways of applying pigment...yes.

But, my personal experience is that a powder coat is MUCH more durable. I think the resin powders used to make the coating are more durable than the acrylic urethanes. Also, the electrical current that is used attracts the particles to the material and to each other making a denser coating. The resins just seem to be more resistant to UV fading as well. Just my 2 cents.

Well, has it stopped raining? Have you had the chance to work your new toy..I mean tool? How do you like it so far? Thanks.

It did finally stop raining and dried out. spent about 15 hours with the tractor over next few days. Tractor did great. I never would have thought I would have needed 4wd. But when trying to push gravel around it came in handed..

Engine is smooth and revs quickly. Suprisingly quiet compared to my other diesel tractors.

So far so good. First 4wd tractor...and first tractor with a loader.

I hope you have many years of pleasure from it's trouble free use.

Well, I pulled the trigger on a Branson tractor today. I went to the dealer with the intention of buying the 4020R or the 4520R. I called beforehand and he told me he had a 4520 but not the 4020. When I got there the only 4520 he had was with a cab and that was not what I wanted. They ended up selling me the 5520R for the same price as the 4520R and it is the last one with Tier 3 emissions he had. It has 1.9 hours on it and they are delivering it tomorrow at noon. I was real glad to find one with the Tier 3 emissions.

Congratulations. I see you ended up with the racing version (Turbocharged!!). Mine is a turbo also. Albeit a tiny turbo...but a turbo nonetheless. Love the turbo whine at high RPM! :)
Let me know what you think. So far I really like mine. Have about 20 hours on it so far. I'm trying to figure out how I lived without a loader for all these years!!
