New to Forum- need some help

Been visiting the forum for awhile. Finally bit the bullet and bought a new kubota bx2230, 60"MMM, FEL, 60"rear blade, and rear bagger. Got a good deal and love the machine. My son (age 4) and I are willingly plowing our neighbor's drives- need to as we have a 10 month old Newfie who has a yard ornament fetish.
Anyway, my only gripe is that the front work lights don't work very well with the FEL attached. Thinking about getting the work light kit and have googled everywhere trying to find photos of the kit and an estimated price. Anyone have this option? If so was it a worthwhile investment? My understanding is that it attaches to the ROPS, correct? Can it be adjusted to face forward and backward? How much should I expect to pay? Any help wopuld be gratly appreciated.

Wires for light are already under the seat.
I would get an aftermarket light (lots cheaper than Kubota) and mount it high on top of the rops.
My brother has a green machine, had the dealer put on the deere light ($60 part only) and it is soooocheeplymade. It mounts low and is useless for the front illumination you want.

Aftermarket lights are inexpensive. They always say not to drill in the rops, but a 1/4" hole at the very top could not to much to weaken the integrity, imho.

Don't get too carried away, or you will need to spend another cupla Franklins on a high output alternator. One light up top won't be that big a load.

Get halogens. draw considerably less than incandescent lamps. JR Speaker makes some good lights both incandescent and halogen in rubber like housings made for tractors.

Try TSC or a farm store or even NAPA.

if you ever plan on trading your tractor DO NOT drill the rops. There are safty advacy groups that hassel dealers about taking tractors with missing or modifed ROPS. Rops mounting brackets are available for about $25 - its probably better to just be of the safe side.

Without drilling ROPS, how would you advise running the wiring? Oh, and thank you for the welcome.

Wiring could be strapped to the rops with half a dozen plastic zip ties. Can be done neatly.

This is a photo of the Kubota lights, the dealer installed them for me for $120 (furnished and installed). They rotate front or back with a wrench. So far I love them. I mow, plow, and fertilize at night, not because I want to but that is when I get the time!
