I found this forum through GOOGLE!
I'm glad I found this site, as it could benefit me.
I have a John Deere 870 Tractor, I'm guessing it is a 1995, because that is when we moved to this "Little Piece of Heaven" among the neighborhoods which surround us now. When we first moved here it was all farms, now it is all subdivisions, with new houses going up daily. Really sad to see everyone selling off their property. We shall remain the rock, and not sell, though we have had MANY offers, none are large enough to justify a move. Developers could build about 75-100 houses on our chunk of land, but we have never been interested in selling! TOO MUCH WORK TO DO IF WE SOLD. It is kind of fun to play with the realtors who are trying to get a hold of my "Little Piece of Heaven!" They offer, I say you've got to be kidding, that's not enough! Then I hang up the phone and have a good chuckle, then go take care of the horses! It's fun out here being the oasis for all the wild life! Deer, skunks, woodchucks (I really cannot stand them because they wreak havoc on the horse field with their holes, which horses can step into and break a leg.), foxes, red tail hawks (one was following me mowing the horse field today! That was thrilling), barn swallows (I swear we have 18 nests in the barn), all kind of things have found refuge here.
We also have an archery club here, we shoot competitive Olympic style archery, we are the largest training center in SW Ohio! We had a neighbor who complained about it, then our police chief told the guy to back down, and that was that
I hate the "house seeds" sprouting and growing, it destroys my view and my privacy.
I'm glad I got that off my chest!
Thanks for being here, and I look forward to being enlightened at tractorbynet.com by all the experts here!
Ciao!
