If you are handy with tools then you can consider used for a compact or sub-compact tractor. I paid 5K for my Ford 1700 with front end loader and 4WD. Have not had to do much to keep it running aside from the front drive axle. Have a 60 inch rear mounted finish mower that runs off the PTO. Previous tractor was an 8N Ford cost me 1K and didn't run, spent 1500 in parts and 1 transmission rebuild. so depending on your skills and desire to spend time/sweat a tractor can fit in your budget.
