New to me 110 John Deere TLB

I don't mean to hijack the thread here...but Im guessing I have 3100 hours on the machine. The reason I say I'm guessing is because it started back at 0 three times. The last time I know for sure it did it at 1000 hours, so I'm guessing the other two where then too, but I just didn't pay attention. The problem I am having is when the motor gets warm, I loose power in the hydraulics. Mostly the front bucket and main dipper backhoe boom. I changed both hydraulic filters and it still does it. Was thinking maybe the screen is plugged or need to change the hydraulic fluid. But with my luck it can't be that easy.

I would run some pressure checks to determine the pumps condition, there are three pumps to check. I recommend you check the lines to the functions in question.

Does anyone happen to know the part numbers for the suction screen (#54) and O-ring (#59) found in the Deere online Parts Catalog under drawing MP6166 (Alphabetical Listing "S": "Screen,Suction, Transaxle Housing and Rear Cover"? The parts list only covers items up to item #40 and I've waded through lots of posts that reference the suction screen but no part number. I'm changing transmission fluid as part of regular maintenance and found the two spin-off filters but didn't know about the suction screen until recently. Since I'm the 3rd/4th owner, I think it's past time I check it but would like to have a new suction screen and O-ring on hand just in case the original is defective. Thanks in advance.....

Found a reference on this forum that stated some 110's used the same transmission as the 4610. I found part numbers CH19172 (suction strainer screen) and CH17154 (O-ring) and then searched Deere Parts for "Where Used" and got a hit on the 110. When looking at the provided 110 Parts Index link "50 -94- Transaxle Housing and Rear Cover (Continued)", only items #41 and higher are listed. Interesting that the "50 -94- Transaxle Housing and Rear Cover (Continued)" shows up in the Parts Index but not the Pictorial Index section....at least I know what the P/N's are now!

I would think the chance of the suction screen being damaged would be very rare. While I will often buy things to have on hand a suction screen would not be one of them. It is heavy duty perforated steel not a screen that is easily damaged.

Just my thoughts but better to have an extra set of air filters and hydraulic filters on hand for that money.

Be careful when you remove the suction screen , I damaged mine as I was remove it. Sorry I don't have the part numbers

Jenkinsph & DocDryden: Initially I was concerned because someone raised the question of how to clean the screen filter without damaging it leading me to believe it may not be a very strong or made from a reuseable material. I also saw a picture of a screen filter removed from a 4610 loaded with metal filings and that seems not to be out of the ordinary. Once I saw it was metal screen material, I was less inclined to buy a spare. Due to the price of the screen filter, I think I will heed both of your recommendations....ie becareful handling and save some money for other things! Thanks to you both for your comments!

Well if you do need one it should be available over night or within a few days on a dealer order with free shipping.
