Johny, You will love that DK50. I have an 07 DK45 HST. Bought it with 650 hrs and just turned 1200. Live across the bay from you In Maine. Yeah we had a winter last year. I have a 7 foot snow plow with 2 foot wings on both sides. Late last winter with at most a 4 inch snowfall I would use High range in areas I knew would be smooth with no obstructions. If you are on pavement as you stated, the blower able to clear itself of snow, and tractor not bogging down I would use High range. A tip about this site, used the Google advance search top of page to the right to do searches.

Just was in your beautiful neck of the woods. Delivered a boat to Yarmonth for one of your fellow country men. Then drove all around Fundy back to Maine. Outstanding drive. Welcome to TBN

I'm glad you had a nice trip.. nice things to see up this way if you like the ocean and views.. cold tho.. :0)

Glad to see you like your DK. . I haven't had the chance to do much with it.. to be honest I was stressing a bit.. with the dash lights acting up when I shifted had me thinking about tranny problems.. :0) saw that there's a lot that do the same so that got me feel better.. tried the fix they posted and all looked to be working but I think it just runs better when hot.. it's been below 0 and me think everything is a bit cranky.. haha once I use it a bit I know stress will go down.. I drove it.. liked it.. and everything sounded good so I should just have a beer and chill..

My Cruise module was replaced under warranty. When below 20 degrees F it would act up and not display which gear it was in. It worked fine when above 20. Mine would also start in gear when it was having this low temp problem. New module fixed this problem.. It took less than 5 minutes to change out the module. It is just below your left foot as you sit on the seat. The low temperature problem on the older cruise units is a know issue for about 20 percent of the tractors, so I was told. If you problem goes away when it warms up you will know. Also sometimes the Potentiometer attached to a bellcrank on the Range shift lever has been know to fail. One of the members replaced his and sent me his old one for analysis. Yes it was defective.. I threw it away about a month ago.

Thanks for the note!!

Today it's a bit colder and I went to try it... runs great but when in medium the dash showed "N" didn't use it long enough to know if it worked better when it got warmer but I know I will have to change something.. not really a big deal since I know what gear I'm in and with HST I don't really need to change anything once I go but I just bugs me.. lol wonder what the cost is on those

I've got to bet they are not a cheap unit to replace, since a lot of things run through that module, PTO switch sensing, range sensing and of course, cruise control.

I wonder when you ran the reset procedure did you do it with the tractor OFF, but in accessories position or whichever position it requires, (except not running)? I did the sequence and for the most part it has been fine since, but did notice recently it was acting up again.....
You can look up the part and price/availability at MIE, Michigan Iron & Equipment, an excellent Kioti dealer/approved advertiser here on TBN.

I did find the cruise control online for 250$.. not so bad.. also found out what the problem was with the loader.. and the metal brackets are 40$ a piece so not so bad if I decide to change them.. I figure for the winter I will keep and eye on then and make sure not to back drag..

I did do the sequence with the tractor not running.. I might have missed a couple of steps when I was doing it.. I do think it's just a bad part.. I will try to change the wire under the shift.. not to sure what it's called but I can find it.. think someone had that fixed and it solved it..

I still know what gear I'm on.. when it annoys me enough I'll fix it for good.. :0)
