Agreed. The nice thing, though, is Dodge V10 is supposed to make 400 lb-ft from 1000 RPM up. I can't seem to find a chart of the GM 5.3 for my year, but it doesn't have any balls until you get it around 3000 RPM.That stinks that its a 3.55, the 4.10 sure would be nice.
I looked into the gear change a bit more and it seems like changing from 3.55 to 4.10 might be more involved than I hoped, but I think I will have twice as much torque at cruising speed anyway, so hopefully I will not want to do the axle swap.

Also if I decide I don't like it, I think I will be able to sell it for more than what I will have into it, even after fixing it up. I am doing some work for my mechanic this weekend so at most I might have to pay for some fuel injectors and brake parts, I shouldn't be out anything for labor.
