new (to me) email scam

I've recently been getting a lot of scam emails about a pending package delivery, usually claiming to be from FedEx. Usually several in rapid succession from different throw away address with almost exact wording but different "tracking" numbers.
If scammer school is providing the scripts, you would think the various scammers would not want the emails to all be so similar.

The other popular ones I get:
Windows virus alert
Windows Defender Subscription
Amazon credit card on file expired
PayPal incoming payment... Click to accept
Any Subscription or purchase that the email seems to already know is in error, as they only have a click to cancel option.

When the word "Center" is spelled "Centre", you know it's a phish scam BS. Delete or mark as spam etc yaddi yaddi.

Um... 'Centre' is how I spell the word. (British/Australian/Canadian/Commonwealth countries...)

I've also been receiving many of the same emails over the past few months. I did get one from my phone/internet provider that looked very legit... except 'hovering' over the link showed a weird address. I contacted, via mobile, my provider and talked to their 'scam department'... short story is that they hadn't seen that one before and thanked me for reporting it.

I got email concerning a mcafee renewal for $399 being charged to my card. Delete.

I get half a dozen crazy emails per month. No idea what they are about. Mark as junk and delete w/out opening.

Read somewhere that the reason the same scam comes from many different sources, and over a period of time, is that scamming entrepreneurs develop the scam package and sell it to a bunch of freelancers. For awhile, I was getting many different scams, all with the same woman's voice.

It is a sure sign from people in the US, that the e-mail is not originating in the US. Language way too formal, non specific content.

just today I got 4 messages
All from Distribution Centre
All with the title "Track your package: 29194772"
All claiming I needed to click on a link because my package had been delayed
All from different wierd names at gmail.com
Anybody else getting this spam?

It's a package from the nigerian prince or your hot russian or asian girlfriend. Act now by clicking on every mystery link you see...

I'm noticing lately that a bunch of spam is now originating from US cellular IP addresses. It used to be VPN's and free VNC host sites.

I suspect a lot of peoples cell phones are either getting hacked through malware apps or clicking on malware links and are unwittingly playing man-in-the-middle for scam wares.
