Well that didn't take long: already modified the thing! I put 8 gallons of water/RV antifreeze mix in each rear tire. Should be good for about 60-65 lbs of weight in each tire, making it a little more stable on my hill.

Thanks,

The fuel gauge setup on the ZD326 was not to my liking at all. The idiot light for the one tank came on with the tank still half full. You could not utilize all the fuel, because you never really knew how much you had. I modded this by tying the two tanks together before the transfer switch. I ignored the idiot light for the one tank and the gauge then read the total fuel you have in both tanks. I could run the tanks right down to the the E on the gauge....MUCH better.

How did you tie them together?

How did you tie them together?

Plugged both tanks to a T fitting, then took the T to the transfer switch. Made a short blocked hosed to attach to the other side of the transfer switch. You don't touch the transfer switch after that. You ought to do it....wayyyyy better that way.

Yea, I was thinking of doing the exact same thing. My right tank is showing empty when I just put five gallons of SC TN red fuel diesel in it; yea it's forked. Why they didn't tie they into together to begin with is a mystery.

How hard was it to do it?

Do you have a reading problem or what? I never said my bushhog was 286 years old. I said I got it 286 years ago - it's right there in plane engrish. Jeesh!!!!!

[Where's the embarrassed emoticon? I deserved that one!]

Nah, I knew what you were saying. Just couldn't let it go without a shot at a little joke.
