Forks New (to me) pallet forks

I don't think I can add to the sides. It would be too wide. The SSQD is out of the question as I'm too tight to spring for it. I did buy the deere "hooks" for the top of the JDQD mounts. The bottom JDQD pins are the same size as cat 2 pins. So I'm going to get a couple of those and cut them down.

Well, I finally made it up to the farm. It looks like this is going to be a little harder than I thought. First I ran out of oxegen and acc gas.

Then the lower corrention is going to require some enginnering to make work. The rake angle is wrong and the "pins" are "outside" of the attachment .

Can you add a small plate or square tubing to the top and attach the JD hook? Can a piece of heary angle iron be welded to the side and weld a short bar or bolt to the angle iron to make the pin for the bottom of the FEL?

The JD top hook will fit on the plate at the top just fine as is. The bottom pins got me stumped as to how to do a nice clean job without too much work.

Well, I finally got some time to devote to this project. I ended up cutting most all of the skid steer mounts off and adding 2 7" standard c channel on both sides. I used the JD hooks and pins.
