Hi,
this is my first post, I can't stop smiling:D ,
I just took delivery of my Yanmar YM2210BD on Monday Jan 22 2007
I am going to plug RCO tractor here because during my purchase/research I read some discussion here about buying a rebuilt Yanmar and it seemed RCO got some attention and it wasn't all good.
not only did my tractor arrive looking good as new but everything worked smooth just like new (I tested a Chinese tractor and couldn't for the life of me get into 4WD) that wasn't the case with my Yanmar
let me just say the tractor was delivered by the owner and he took a lot of time to go over every detail and function. he had a busy day ahead of him with more tractors to deliver, but he was very patient and didn't leave until all my questions were answered. many companies could have delivered that via third party and dropped the tractor off at the door and left. I think this personal service say's a lot about their integrity and their product. they believe in it and they stand behind it.
My neighbor also has a rebuilt Yanmar purchased from another dealer in Texas and I know for a fact that he got good service from people who stand behind their product long after the sale
so if your thinking about buying a rebuilt Yanmar I believe you can get a good product from good people.

Congrats on your new tractor. I have a 2210 it is a very nice model. I don't have 4wd but still a good model. Good luck with your purchase. Did you get a front end loader? Did you get any other implements?

Green Acres,

Congratulations!

I purchased a Yanmar YM2000 from RCO Tractor about 5 or 6 months ago(?). Like an idiot, I traded it for a wrecked 2001 Ford Ranger 4x4. I had an over-heating issue with the tractor when I first got it. Part of the radiator was stopped up.

Anyway, to make a long story short, RCO paid to have the radiator rodded out. It didn't cost me a penny, which it shouldn't have to begin with. There was no argument with them over the issue.

All in all, I was pleased with the dealer and the tractor. Would I buy another from them? Definitely.

Stuart is an awesome guy. He and John are both friendly people. I wish every dealership- wether it be tractors, cars, boats, atvs, etc.- were like them. Unfortunately, it isn't like that.

What all do you plan on doing with the tractor?

Travis R

Welcome to TBN Green Acres.:D I am glad that you took the time to read up on TBN before you bought. Surely you made your purchase because you saw how thrilled most of us are with our Yanmars. And you also saw that the people at TBN are happy to help you with any questions or problems that you may have:confused: As a beginner, be sure to follow some of the safety precautions that you read about here and you might want to make a ROPS your next purchase.:) Post a photo when you get a chance.

I do have a picture and implements listed on my profile, I haven't figured out how to get the pictiure to show up with my post. I have 4WD, front end loader,9"post hole digger,5' box blade and 4' bush hog. I have 10.76 acres and a new home that is almost complete. I will be landscaping at first then fencing for some critters, and mowing.

That is a good looking tractor, I like the seats they put on them.

Very nice indeed! Congratulations.

Is that a Bulldog FEL or does RCO now manufacture their own line of loaders?

Where is Cat Spring, Texas? Is the dealer there, or did you have to go to larger town? I'm near Dallas, and was wondering where a Yanmar dealer is near me.

Cat Spring is about 50 mile west of Houston between Columbus and Sealy. I got the Tractor from RCOtractor they are on the east side of Dallas and in Austin. there is also a place called Josef Tractor in Dallas that sells Yanmar, my neighbor bought a Yanmar from them and is quite happy with it and them , you can find them on E bay or Tractorhouse.com. Tractor house is a pretty good resource.

Tractorhouse is a place to find the largest collection of misleading ads I have ever seen anywhere. Just look at the ads people and businesses have on there for Yanmar....1990 YM2000, 1991 YM1700D, etc. A nice 1989 YM2310D from the folks at Techsys, whose ebay auctions are sometimes referenced here. This has been the case on that site for the year plus during which I have looked at it occasionally. A pair of 1983 and 1986 YM1900s, one with only 6 hours:eek: There's a "very nice!" 1987 YM1500D that has 25 HP. Wow.....

You want an eye opener, spend an hour reviewing the Yanmar ads on that site....take some notes. See which advertiser(s) consistently misrepresent the model year of their tractors. Then do some searches, look at their pictures and claims (completely rebuilt, zero hours, etc.) and see which segment of the market they come from.

I enjoy tractor house very much! I must admit that I don't look at the Yanmar's on it much. I mostly look at the Oliver and Deere ads. Tremendous web site for tractor ads. By the way your tractor is extra good looking. It is very nice indeed. Now get out there and get some dirt on it!!!!

Hi guys, long time no talk.

The tractorhouse thing, well, i think this is just marketing shimsham to take advantage of the unknown. Dubious, yea. unethical, probably. Buyer beware, definitely.

I think the the bottom line is know in detail the antique tractor you want to purchase and what kind of support you will get for it.

As an RCO owner, I can say, it's gonna be A-OK.

Cheers guys, -arthr31
