I have mowed with a BX for 12 years and each spring lusted over a zero turn. I have always talked myself out of it because I love the getting extra use out of the BX as a mower.

I have been keeping an eye on local ads for a zero turn (been looking at all brands, with a preference for Kubota because of the excellent dealer about 5 miles away, plus it will match my two tractors) and came across a Z726XKW 60" commercial duty mower with 156 hours on it that had just recently been serviced (oil and filter change, new blades, new anti scalp rollers, plus new shield).

The guy took $5k for it so it followed me home on the trailer. Kind of odd deal, loaded it up at his place in the dark with a little misty rain, but a deal is a deal. The owner's manual has a price of $11,454 written on it with a date of June 2017. I didn't ask exactly what it cost him out the door, but he did mention it was 11 plus.

Kinda feel like I am cheating on my BX lol

Now I need to price some of those cool looking airless wheels and a suspension seat :) LED lights would be nice too for those occasional late nights.

Had one and it was a great mower. Way past the BXs. Just add the Kubota mulching kit if the deck is side discharge. Better cut but also lets you mow up close on both sides and keeps the grass from blowing on you and stops windrows.

Welcome to mowing with zero turn radius mower! I have had my Hustler ZTR for 15 years, compared to mowing with a lawn tractor it cut my mowing time from 3 and a half hours down to an hour and twenty minutes.
Good choice going to commercial grade, my mower will likely Outlast me.

Nice machine. That thing will cut circles around your BX!
I run a ZD326 and 331, and am just now getting to the hours where diesel really pays off, but I put a lot of hours on both of them each season.
Enjoy!

Great deal on a very nice near new machine. Interesting that it went for so little $ considering the price new.

Regarding seats, you have a nice high back seat now, and you can add a suspension kit to that seat for pretty low $ vs a new suspension seat is $350-400. SEAT SUSPENSION KIT FOR BAD BOY, GRAVELY, DEERE, TORO, SCAG, HUSTLER, EXMARK #FF - Seat Warehouse

For tires, the WT300 are more R4 style meant more for industrial use and IMO would ride a lot rougher. If you want a bar style tire that rides well and look at the Carlisle Chevron style 101 tire - that would be a good compromise.

Great mower. Tripled my "lawn" size just due to speed and cut size.

Sounds like an impressive deal you got.

Unless you have steep slopes replacing the tires is probably a waste of money. At least run what you have and see how it does. If you just want to look cool, that is different.

I should have mentioned that my bar ditch is quite steep, but will try the factory tires first. The cool looks are a bonus.

Thanks for that advice, I honestly didn't really consider the ride quality, makes sense though.
