You're gonna need some counterbalance weight for sure, if you do a search on it you'll find lots of ideas and pics. Post a pic when you get a chance........

As to the price, well you already own it, so second guessing the deal seems rather pointless now, but I paid almost $8k for my 1602 D (4x4) with FEL, box blade, brush hog, tiller etc. Hours unknown, showed 74, probaly 1074 or even 2074, 3 years ago. What's more important is overall condition and your dealer and how it meets your needs.........

I have a 1510d and paid $5635 with a FEL and a 5 ft finish mower. The meter read 150 hours but it is at least 1150 hours, could be 2150 hours, no idea. I had to really shop around though to find mine as I had a $6k limit on what I could spend. And mine needs paint. I was just happy to find a good running machine in my budget and so far I am very happy with it. From looking at all kinds of tractors in the last few months I'm thinking you did not overpay. As many tractors as there are in Ohio, tractors sell for more here than they do down south and out west I noticed. But, being a newbie I didn't want to buy a sight unseen one either and have it delivered. I needed to have someone look with me to tell me if it was a good one or not. I bet they cost more where you live too. If all the guys on this forum are right then Yannies are great tractors and it may very last you for life, in which case it was a good buy, right? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I would say it's a fair price. What kind of warranty or dealer support is offered. Delivery is worth something. What kind of loader do you have?

Please see the following link, go to reconditioned tractors, then yanmar, and check the prices. I assume Washington state qualifies as out west. These prices are not lower than ours with the occasional exception. Some are $1,000 higher.HERE

Perhaps in the south prices do tend to be lower, and the reason is primarily transportation. Most entry ports, other than Long Beach, are in the south. Price trucking or rail from Gulfport to Columbus. There are many other factors including the cost of labor in Ohio versus many southern states.

I bought mine from Ernie's imports with loader, box blade, post hole digger, tiller and brush hog for $9600. what little dealer support I have needed was handled quickly and correctly. (Fuel gauge didn't work) and yes Washington is out west. waaaayyyyyy out west (the other side of no where) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
