Sounds like a "Happy Fathers Day" coming this spring!!!! Soundguy, them one arm loaders you have, do they seem as stable as a two arm? I have been thinking about something like that for my Allis garden tractor.

I move round bales of hay on my ford 850 with 1-arm loader.. average of 1000# bales.

the loaders are rated for a max of 1300# ( the specific models I have anyway.. there are some only rated for 1000# )... etc.

As with anything.. it makes the rear light, I use ballast weights and loaded tires.. occasionally ai get in a soft spot and one rear spins and I step on that brake and it gets going again... not 'idea;' but works for my small farm where I only feed out about 20 rounds per year.

What's the purpose for the drawbar mounted to the 3000's front bumper?

there is actually a drawbar rack that fits on the fender.. but I couldn't bring myself to drill those brand new 150$ a piece fenders the bumper had this lil tab for a trailer ball that worked great with a bolt and nut for easy removal.

I even mounted the headlamps on the bumper as well, as I replaced the nose on the tractor and it was 470$!!

I saw them and wondered if that was temporary. Can't much say i blame you for not being anxious to start drilling holes.

The Bride will inherit a 3000 one day. It developed a lift problem, got parked 20 years ago and will need a lot of rubbing. Some bowback has since stolen the instrument panel and the starter.

About 5 yrs ago I checked the fluids, aired the tires and hooked a chain to it. Clutch held fine, she fired and ran level within 100' on 15 yr old diesel fuel. Lift hadn't healed itself though.

I've offered to bring it home and diagnose/repair but her dad prefers it sit right where it is. He can't get out but can see it under the shelter through the window. Probably brings back memories of happier days.

Wow, SG. That's one fine collection of Fords.

Also really like your tractor shed. If my collection continues to expand (3 vintage tractor so far), I'll get one of those. What are the dimensions? Who's the manufacturer? Ballpark cost?.

I just finished pouring the footings for a 20x36 ft carport with 9-ft sidewalls, A-frame style from American Steel carports. Three weeks for concrete cure and then the installers show up with the carport kit. It's located at the end of my driveway and will hold the F150, the 2008 Mahindra 5525 and 2 of the old tractors.

caroline metal buildings built it.. cost was 7999$ and it is 31x52 outside dimensions, so roughly 30.5x51 inside useable. I got extra roof extension, and extra bracing and 34 hurricane tiedowns.. she is rated for 150mph winds.. price I posted reflects those upgrades as well as the wall siding... without siding and the extra's.. probably drop a thou or so..

I'm as happy as a clam about it.

A crew of 3 mexicans drove down in a dodge 3500 dually carrying a 24' trailer trailer had my building materials, plus (2) 20x24 buildings on it.. truck had welder, air compressor and genny on it. drive spoke decent english.. they had all their own tools and supplied. providing power saves you 100$ by the way.. no geny surcharge. they pulled in at 7am, and pulled out by 2pm, even cleaned up after themselves!!!

no complaints.. if I ever build another on my other farm property.. I know who to call!
