It was the first "polished chunk of rock" that has cost me the most
That was my mistake, just as we were getting engaged, her car blew an engine so I paid for a new one, about 2 days after the warranty of that replacement engine ended, she destroyed another one. I didn't buy her that first stone . . . I bought her a Jeep Cherokee with a new car warrenty so I could save up some money!!! So now, at 20 years, I had to make up for not giving her the first ring. Eventhough I had a great excuse to bypassing the traditional engagement ring, I still had to pay dearly for the little box that arrived on our 20th Anniversary.
For my present, she is letting me build a new garage and filling it with new tools, a 4 post car lift, etc. The sad thing is I am paying for both presents, hers and mine! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
