The new tractor arrived on Saturday. Sorry don't have any pics yet. The wife forgot to bring the camera to the farm
All I can say is WOW! I did in a day what would normally take me 3 months to do with the 4 wheeler and chain saw.
First thing was to put the pallet forks on the loader and move a log about 7 foot long that has been laying in the yard for a year. The tree went down and I was cutting it into chuncks to move but had wire in the base so it had just been laying. Put the pallet forks under it and lifted it up and moved it into the woods. No problem.
Had a long limb which fell out of a pine tree about 20 feet long. Cut it into 3 pieces. Picked it up with the forks and put on the burn pile. Would have taken me several weekends by hand. I did put a dent in the Hood when a small limb came over the top of the forks. My son said he was glad it was me to put the first dent into it
Move a couple a truck loads of dirt to fill low spots in the yard. Man the stall guard is great when pushing the bucket into the pile.
Also had to use the brush hog to do some mowing. Makes the place look nice. I did shear the pin on it though later in the day sunday. I think what happen is the lift rod became unscrewed as I was moving dirt with the bucket and caused the blades to dig in too much. Will need to tighten the locking nut more to the screw. Replacment bolts are 5 bucks apiece at the dealer.
This trackor is sure making my life a whole lot easier. All those things I've stood and looked at over the years saying if I just had a tractor can now get done.
What a work horse. Don't know how I got by all these years without it.
Thanks to everyone who helped steer me thru the process of picking the tractor out.
