Looks like you tamed a jungle with brush as tall as your tractor -- good work!

Not sure if this would work for you, but could possibly chop down and sell a few of those evergreens around Christmas, and next year plant some more, do some bush hogging or local food/garden plots on the side, etc. to deduct your rig as a business expense. Depending on the 2015 tax rules and $ limits for Section 179 deductions, might even be able to depreciate the full business % cost of your equipment (less personal use %). The only downside is you have to keep at it for 7 years and show a profit something like 5 out of them to avoid having to repay the taxes offset by the initial deduction. I'm not an accountant (caveat emptor), but understand the deduction can also be applied to other income sources, such as your and your spouse's day job if married and filing jointly.
