Hello,

I am new here. I just bought a Used, but like new 1988 B7200D Kubota. Let me tell a little about it. It has 117 original hours on it, all original everything. The owner was 60 when he bought it after he retired from the Navy. He used it to go out back and pull a trailer filled with firewood and also to plow a 25 foot driveway. This guy even waxed the frame and inner fenders. I'll get some pictures posted in the next day or so. I felt bad but I paid 4500 for the tractor. It came with a angle dozer blade and a home made extremly heavy duty trailer. The pto was never used until this past weekend by me.
I needed this to mow my hill which is extremly steep. I really wanted a belly mower but I couldn't pass this up. Unbelievable really! I used a pull behind finish mower last weekend and it really took longer than I thought. I bigger cut was nice and it cuts so smooth but it is kinda akward to maneuver. I am looking for a belly mower. This is what the help need is I need a belly mower. I was able to take the front pto off of my fathers B8200 yesterday so I now have the front pto dual pulley ready. I also have the drop box and the lever to engage the mower off of his also that I plan to make work. I know it would be easier to buy a new one with one already mounted but this tractor is one in a lifetime. This thing setting beside a 2006 is just as clean a spotless. I guess setting for almost 20 years in a heated garage and never seeing rain will do that. Any help would be great. thanks

Sounds like you have everything under control. You got a great deal and I say stick with what you are doing as long as all parts interchange and you get what you want at the end of your work. Stick with it. :)

I'd look at a dealer, e-bay < spit >, or the classifieds here. Worst case is a deal from a dealer at a bargaining retail price. All said and done, you'll still come out A-OK. Good deal indeed. You have a good machine that is still relatively new. I'd love to find a deal like that.

Welcome to the forum. :tiphat:

I've been Surfing the net(classifieds, ebay, tractor salvage yards, everywhere) for 2 weeks solid. Wife is getting &#$$&@. I was hoping someone had a hidden deck waiting for me. LOL. NO but I am not quite satisfied with the pull behind due to mowing around many trees and plants. I know they are out there but I'm having no luck.

I used a rear 3 point mounted finish mower behind a B6100 for years and soon got used to the necessary manuevering. The 3pt mount is a readily available option and will be easier to handle. It would be cheaper than a belly mount is likely to be. Sell your pull behind to a ATV owner.

Honestly, I'd march my happy butt right down to the dealer and order one at the best possible price they will get you. Done deal. That will keep the Mrs happy.

That too...

I do feel that you'll adapt to the RFM soon, as was pointed out to me in another thread. I cannot imagine anything other than a MMM, but I also was told that the RFM comes easy in a short time.

Ok thanks alot guys. I appreciate your help. I did already try to go to the dealer. Our local is a *#$* and won't deal if you don't buy from him. He said you can no longer get a Model RC60-72 mower deck. My pull behind finish mower is a 5 foot pto driven unit.

Too bad about the dealer. More are, than not, so it seems from reading here.

The fact that he / she said you can't get that anymore? That would make me want to find one... :D

Where are you located?

Maybe someone close can assist.

If they order you one (they being said @$$ dealer) you'll still have to pay shipping (inclusive in the price I feel sure). Find one elsewhere (another dealer anywhere within your regional area). Have it sent to your door. Talk about easy to put on the machine... Yes Sir...

Just exploiting options that you probably have already looked into...
