My YM186D - and the other one I sold - need some weight applied to make them move down. The 65 lb quick hitch that is usually on there is barely enough.

When I stand on it, it goes down nicely. My deal says the same thing, he is saying it is supposed to go down only when it has weight on it. So, is this all good for me or am I headed for a problem soon? I have a 600 pounds 6ft Brush hog that I plan to attach to this tractor. I hope that isn't too heavy for the tractor and spoil it in some way. Any advise?

Entirely too big. you need a 4' rotary cutter, max 5'.
