New tractor owner

Hi Everyone!
Great forum! Based on many of the comments here I bought a DK45SE HST last Saturday. Will be delivered tomorrow. Did not want to experiment with full Tier4 and really liked the ergonomics (i'm 6' 4") and the 3 point hitch features on the tractor.

I have a question: The KL401 loader has a quick attach feature. Which pallet fork attachments should I be looking at for compatibility?

Thanks, Gerald

These might be worth a look for your KL401 with its heavy lift capacity. These are rated at 3800 lbs and weigh 400lbs.

These might be nice for your smaller capacity loader on the CK27. They are lighter so they do not eat up as much of your lift capacity.
Everything Attachments Compact Pallet Forks with 42" Tines

That should be perfect for the KL130!!

James & Donald, thanks! Have the tractor now and getting forks is getting more critical. The only problem with EA is that we are on opposite coasts and their free shipping within 1000 miles does not apply. And shipping adds up fast.

Also considering the Titan 42" (320 lbs @ $524) and Gearmore 42" (250 lbs @ 725) from my local dealer.

Titan Attachments on Ebay has 42", 48", and longer SSQA forks. the 42" are $524, 48" are $649 and have free shipping.

You're right - on eBay it is 524 with free shipping. On the Titan website it is 524 with 75 shipping to a home address (which is part of what bumps my shipping up with all the vendors).

Definitely buy on eBay if buying from Titan it looks like!

I just bought new QA forks and was going to buy from Titan. Many members recommended them due to the price. But I found a local source near me that sold me mine for the same price as Titan so I didn't need to wait. Mine are regular SS forks with a 5 or 6K rating. I forget which but I'll never max them out as my loader only does about half of that.
To the OP and any others reading most places that provide free shipping will do so if you have heavy items shipped to a business with a loading dock. I have heavy items shipped to where I work due to the dock we have. If you know someone with a dock ask them if you can have items shipped to their address for you to pick up. That way you can avoid a home delivery fee.

Buy local whenever possible.
If there is a problem then you have local customer support and not a 900# to call.

The KL401 is rated at 2600 lbs or so at the pivot pin. That tractor will not pick up 2600 with a set of forks and the weight evenly distributed on the 4x4 pallet. I have tested it for a customer of mine who was looking to move large wood furnaces. I am going by memory, and with a set of 48" tines, the tractor would pick up about 1800 lbs to 6' or so. A lot of rear ballast weight was needed to even do that. Not to say Kioti's ratings are incorrect, just that they area comparing number not real world usable spec. Keep in mind your quick attach plate and forks take away from the lift capacity too. We sell Horst Loader Attachment HLA Forks. We usually bring in the 42" tines instead of 48" tines. The sets we sell are rated for 2000 lbs and we have never had an issue with them. We sell them for $550 plus tax here in Nova Scotia, Canada. Just a few things to keep in mind.
