I have about 3 acres of lawn to cut. It has a lot of irregularities, but the floating deck (rc60-72) cuts it perfectly. I have a friend who recently purchased a JD sub compact with a suspended mower, and He complained about the gouging and scalping he was doing on his fairly flat lawn. It was from his experience, that I question this type of mower. The wheels on my mower are swivel type. The suspended ones are fixed. Maybe I am in the "older is better" crowd, as this was from the mid 80s. I am getting bad vibes on upgrading.
