New tractor shopping and pricing

Brent - I know you mentioned you would like to stick with a local dealer however, if you have any interest in a New Holland, you might consider checking with Steve or Ted at Corriher Implement in Newton, North Carolina. Although I live in Arkansas, after extensive shopping I bought my tractor from Corriher and couldn't be more pleased with the deal and service they provided. Even with paying shipping fees, I still saved over $1500 compared with the best deal I could get from a local dealer.

How come I don't see Blue in
that list ? )

How about a NH TC30? I think they're about $14,000 with a loader.

I did go and look at the TC30. I really want one with shuttle shift which the TC30 does not have. Right now I am really leaning towards the AGCO ST35X. I like the physical size of it, bigger than the TC30 and the JD4310. For the price it is a lot of tractor for $14,247.50. Next choice is the Kubota 3130 at $16,686.00. The Kubota is more refined with telescoping 3 pt lift arms, more lift capacity, digital readout that tells you more than you want to know and a really nice seat. One part of me says get the AGCO, it is a good solid tractor that will do everything you want for $2400 less and another part of me says go with the Kubota because of everything that it offers plus the Kubota name. The AGCO's are the same as the Massey 1433V, both built by Iseki of Japan with very minor trim and control differences.

I have to second the suggestion to talk to Steve or Ted at Corriher. They've been very helpful. Take a look at their new message board - it's a great way to get quick answers about NH products and just about any implement imaginable.

You might also give Buck at EFC a call and look into those TYM tractors. I was very impressed with them (specifically the T580), but chose a NH TN65 because Bradco makes a 609 backhoe w/subframe that fits the TN series really well - and I can get a 16.9 gpm pump to power that backhoe. For everything else, though, those TYM's look like excellent rigs at a great price.

I have not seen an AGCO, but I did compare a NH TC40 to the Kubota L3830 before I decided on the Kubota. The prices were within $200. The decideing factor was the "feel" of the tractor. The Kubota felt more substantial than the NH. The size of the front axle on the Kubota is MASSIVE. The Kubota 3 point hitch is as slick as they come and of course there's the independant, hydraulic PTO.

If the AGCO is made by ISEKI, and the features are similar, the AGCO might be a great deal. There are plenty of old ISEKI's running around strong as ever.

The Kubota's FEL mount has been the most impressive so far and it is tied in to the rear end. I'm gonna try to work on the Kubota dealer some more and see what he will do.

I just surfed the web to get the AGCO info. It even looks like an old ISEKI (That's a good thing, it looks like a tractor). Maybe I missed it but the AGCO site didn't list the ST series.

Compared to a Kubota L3130, the Kubota has: 0.9 less HP, 1.5 less HP at the PTO, Engine size is equal, 550 pounds more 3PH lift, a little more hydraulic flow, folding ROPS, standard extendable lower links, and (big one) synchronized main transmission.

Oh yeah, it's BRIGHT orange.

It seems like the AGCO is a good deal. But check your Kubota price. It might be a little high.

Have fun shopping, I did. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Brent,

You beat me to it while I was "researching". I couldn't find the weight of the ST35. Do you know what it is?

Tractors4u,

I see you are doing the right thing by checking out a lot of different manufactures. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I see you have not checked out Kioti yet, but you may want too. Upon dealer seach, you should have a dealer right in Athens,,,, Haney Equipment. They may have a DK35 that you could check out and compare specs, and price.

Good luck and check'em all out. RedDog Kioti DK65
