After about 18 months of watching Craigslist I finally found my new trailer.

20' (im guessing home built) equipment trailer. 6" channel frame over 6" channel tongue. dual 5200lb 6 on 5.5 axles with brakes on front axle. (looking to convert the rear tag axle per my other thread) 15" rims with load range D trailer tires ("trailer use only" per sidewall)

2 5/16 ball with a teeny tongue jack ;)

steel diamond plate tool box welded to tongue (again looks fab'd)

$1000 with clean title in hand.

needs a light package, and brakes wired with addition of break away controller. Ill add a small ATV winch and battery to the tool box

Going to add 1/4x2.5" flat stock down the sides welded to the stake pockets for additional tie down rail. then reflective tape on that flat stock. New fenders with the little triangular fender guards/steps. Will add a couple of jacks to the rear to support the rear as i have removable ramps that ill fab a store location under the rear. Needs a spair tire mount, I have spairs as im going to swap to my old set of toyota steel wheels and keep one of the current black steelies as spares.

Picked it up on last thurs and put it in use yesterday (sat) to till a friends new garden. hear was the setup for sat.

Pulled great! (got to do some more tuneup stuff on my 85 C30 dumptruck :ashamed: )

When and if you replace that tongue jack put it off to the side and back. They will damage a tailgate or make a rear hatch on a SUV impossible to open in that position. I order all the trailers I sell that way. Its called a set-back jack.

ya i was looking at replacement jacks at the farm supply store today.

was looking at the 7K lb sq tube version with the drop down foot. I was going to move it back to infront of the tool box but ill have to see if that is far enough back to get a tail gate open.

the trailer is short on tongue distance, ie they pushed the deck way forward on it. ive got about 8-10" more deck forward of the axle pivot point than most stock trailers and about 2' short on tongue distance.

What about the ramps?? I guess they stow away under the frame?? A pic of those would be good. For the price, I think you got a heck of a trailer!

That's a good looking trailer. I am sure it will serve you well. I have also been watching Craigslist and picked up a used 16' with some very heavy duty home made ramps. I need to upgrade some wiring ( I broke the breakaway switch testing it) and some painting. Should handle my Kubota B2320 with no problems.

didnt come with ramps but i had just picked up some HEAVY duty walkway grid segments from a friend that were 5' long. .25x1" flat stock on edge on 2" centers with a cross grid. I welded some angle to the ends and they work perfect clipped on the rear stock angle.

Ill fab up some ramp slides (aka angle) under the rear to slide them into for storage.
