My CPA looked up the weight requirement back in 2000 when I bought my van. At that time the vehicle had to have a GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) of 6000# or more. My Dodge Ram Van 1500 had a GVWR of 6600# so I was all set for the one year write-off. By the way I had my S-Corp buy the van and insure the van. I do not ever use the van for personal use.
