When did he swap engines?
The '69 F750 came with the 370,,
THEN the 'engine in the '53 F750 blew,,
I took the truck to the local junkyard, they installed a 370 V2 in the '53,, and converted it over to 12 volts.
The ENTIRE engine, clutch, and transmission out of a '69 F750 was installed
The engine came out of the Local Southern States fertilizer spreader truck, the engine had almost no highway miles.
The rest of the truck was rusted away. It was less than 4 years old.
That '53 was my BIL's "hotrod",, it had a lime body, you could hear him a mile down the road when he was spreading lime on a plowed field, the 370 would "talk"!!
They charged $1,000 for all the parts, and the installation.
I had virtually the same engine in a '79 F350,, it was the 400 engine,, That truck was powerful,,
