New TSC store??

I saw in the paper that TSC got approval for a new store in Tallahassee Fla. About a mile from my office. Maybe I wont have to go to Georgia quite as often.

We are getting a new store right down the valley from us.
Same driving time as to the store over in Chattanooga,
But with this one I don't have to cross a mountain.
So maybe it could save us some gas money.

Got a new one 6 miles from my home.
That makes for three of them within and hour of traveling distance.

I have two within 25 min of my house. One in the town north of me and one in the town east of me. It helps out incase one does not have something in stock.

I also have a Southern States that a guy runs from his farm in the same town I live. He does not have as big a selection for horse suppiles as TSC but on everything else he is a lot cheaper. I saved $225.00 on the same fencing, post, both wood and T-post, buying from him. TSC would not match his price.

But I still buy several things from TSC.

Supposed to be one opening about 15 miles from my place, which is good. There are only 2 TSC's in NJ, & each one is around 90 minutes (or more) from me.

I'm getting a new one about 15 minutes form my house (Shrewsbury, Pa) in Nov. That'll be nice!

A new one just opened in January in Macon, GA, right across the road from a Northern Tools store. I can spend a lot of money without having to travel all over town! They are about 30 miles from my wife's farm.

TSC is going for planning board approval for Flemington, NJ. It'll be 10 miles from home, but even better, on the way home from work! Unfortunately, it will take a year or more to open, between PB backlog and construction.

Factoid: The local paper reported that, by TSC's numbers, less than 10% of their customers are professional, full time farmers.

We just got a new one in our little, 5,000 population town. It's actually about 6 miles from where I live and is the only one in the county. It saves me a 30 mile drive and gives me somewhere to hide out during rainy weather. I couldn't be happier.

TSC seems to on a major expansion drive.

Our TSC has been here for quite a while. Too small. Reminds me of those old country hardware stores with stuff hanging from the walls from floor to ceiling. Time for an expansion.

I used to deliver for them and Ive been to at least two of them in NJ. Maybe the two I went to were the only two, but its doubtful.

EDIT: You were pretty close. You have three in NJ. Ive delivered to the Sussex and Washington stores but not the Vineland store.

Well we only have three in VT...I guess that's because we aren't rural enough...

Yea, you're right. there are three. I'm half way between the Washington & Vineland stores (actually, Washington is slightly closer by about 5 miles, but the road there, Rt.31, is one I'll avoid if there's ANY other route available). Got my box blade from Vineland a couple months ago.

Now I'm considering throwing a job application their way. Doesn't seem it would be a bad gig 2 or 3 day/week.

A new TSC is scheduled for the shopping center in Flanders on Route 206 sometime in 2007 from what I read in the paper recently.

I asked a friend in Mt Olive and he said yes, there will soon be a Flanders TSC. Whoo-hoo!
As far as 2 stores in NJ, well, to us North Jersey folks, Vineland doesn't count. That's SOUTH Jersey, and it might as well be Patagonia!
