Hey all. I am new to owning a tractor and haven't been on one since I was a kid. My wife and I bought a new home and moved to Texas almost 2 years ago. While this new home is awesome and BIG, well, it has no property and everything we thought we'd be doing has changed. So, we bought a 27 acre parcel about 60 miles away and have just put in the gate and started clearing it to build our retirement home. Long story short, we knew we'd need a tractor and after watching far too many Youtube videos and reading a ton of comparisons and then going out and actually testing these tractors, I made up my mind and purchased a 2017 Mahindra 2538 TLB to which I added the 6' shredder and the pallet forks. They are ordering one all set up from the factory and it should be here in a couple weeks. I have a 10k lb hauler to move it about and once we have the driveway put in, we'll be putting up a large garage first. The house will come later. We're also letting our three adult children build out there so this tractor will save us all a lot of money on site work.
I came here to read about what everyone is doing with/to their Mahindra tractors. I already have some plans for modifications that won't hurt the warranty. I'm a fairly creative guy. I also met a new neighbor who is selling me a nice PTO post auger with 6 different size bits for cheap money.
Looking forward to picking your brains for ideas, tips and tricks. Hope to share some of my own.
