Hi guys and (gals),

Will be buying a used (200hrs 2yrs old, ind tires, no loader, but will add one...14,500 or new with loader and ind tires 17,900 today) haven't decided which yet. This bulletin board has been immensely helpful and thanks to all for your time and input in answering others questions. Tried out my 35 today with a six foot 286 hog on the back and she did great. I was afraid, as the 286 recommends minimum of 40 horses on the pto...that she wouldn't do it. But she performed better than my old jd 2020 gas model. Look forward to reading, posting, and getting help from all of you.

If it were me, I think I'd be planning on going for the new. Once you add the price of the loader to the used price, you're going to be awfully close to the new price that has a loader included. Plus with the new, you're getting a warranty.

Just my $0.02 worth! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

And more than likely a better finance rate by going new.

Well, I went for the new one. $17990 with the 16la loader. Was delivered yesterday and I used the loader to push together my burn pile (lots of trees down on the property). So far so good. Only I don't have a garage or shelter for the trac. Looks like it will be a tarp. With a warranty and insurance on the tractor I've never felt so confident. With the old J.D. 2020 I spent more time working on it than working the property. This should be nice, of course the paymernts aren't so nice. My wife is dismayed that we have an $18k tractor and she and i both drive $5k cars.

Jim, you should fill out your bio so we can learn more about you... Now that you have a new TC35, we should be able to collaborate on the new and continuing challenges as well as the joys of tractoring /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.
