When I started looking around - I was drawn at first to a (new) leftover B7500 - I think the pricing went something like:
B7500 / LA302 FEL $12,900
B7510 / LA302 FEL $13,500
B7610 / LA352 FEL $14,100
All these models are with HST - needed to be easy for my wife to drive. There was only @ $100 difference between the 54" & 60" MMM - @ $2200.
I mow only @ 3 acres - and have lots to manuever around - so I went with the 54" - takes me about 50 minutes (down from @ 2 1/4 hrs on a Sear 38" rider! Woohoo!) In your case - spring for the 60" mmm for sure - maybe a 3PH finish mower? I believe they are significantly less than a mmm & easier to take on & off. (Use $$ saved to upsize to 7610?)
With all due respect to the "gear crowd" ( /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ) - if you are mostly going to be mowing - I think you'll be very happy with the HST. I've found it to be *second nature* already.
If your difference in price is similar (@ $600) between the 7510 and the 7610 - I'd recommend going for the 7610 if you think you'll be doing any FEL work in the future - that's why I went with the 7610 - the more powerful LA352 FEL lets me move some fairly big rocks! If you only have manure / mulch (ie "light & fluffy" instead of "hard and heavy") - then the LA302 would probably do just fine.
