New v. Old - Apples & Oranges

I have a 3520 gear with R4s. The tires spin way before it runs out of power. It pulls a 2-14 plow in heavy blue clay with no problems, unless it runs out of traction. I got the 3520 because it has just over 30hp at the PTO, which might someday make a difference on the running a PTO implement that requires 30HP. I would have been wiser to get R1 tires with the 3520, or drop down to the 3320 with R4 tires. The 3520 might be a little more fuel efficient because it is a smaller block than the 3320. I like to see what it will do with chains on the tires.

I am running the R4 tires on it now and so far it has done fine. The 4WD makes up for the tires in my opinion and the R4's don't tear my yard up when I am working in it. If all I did was farm I would go with the ag tires but I usually find something around the yard that needs to be done. Also the bogging I talked about earlier was what was mentioned later, The load match slows the tractor so the PTO will not bog down, That's what I was trying to say anyway!
