New warranty BX seat!

Just notified by Messick my seat shipped and will be delivered Monday. Waited about 2 months but was advised of the delay and offered an opportunity to cancel the order. Can't ask for more than that.

I called my selling dealer and was told that all 50 of the seats that they ordered were spoken for already, and they couldn't order any more. Called Messicks and they said that they were not taking any more names on the seat list. The problem is that Kubota has more people that want the new seats than they have seats for, and they don't have any intentions of making more seats available unless the price goes up.

Thanks to this forum, I was able to get a new seat for my BX2350 - purchased last April. Boy, that old seat was uncomfortable to sit in for mowing over 2 hours.
I called the dealer after seeing the writeups the 1st night I got on TRACTORBYNET, and they told me there was a seat replacement program.
They told me to bring in the old seat and pick up a new one - less than an hour later I had the new one on the tractor.
What a difference it makes. It appears it's up to the dealer and how much customer satisfaction he is willing to give. Mine is in central New York State and has done everything to make my choice of a Kubota a good one.
The dealership is White's in Canastota, and I want to say thank you to Art for tallking me into this machine.

I have had my seat or order with Messicks for 2 months, hopefully I will get mine soon also. I received the same email about the seats being on backorder but it is good hearing that Messicks is shipping some seats.

Same boat as BCNU here, been on the waiting list a looonnnnggg time so hopefully my name is up on the list. Messick never charged me for the seat yet though, do they just charge you and send the seat or contact you for payment?

I just put mine on my debit card when I purchased it but I have not been charged for it. Im sure they will just bill me when they ship the seat.

I just got my seat the other day from Salem Farm Supply in upstate NEw York. I called 3-4 times and every time the dealer told me that I was "already on the list" (i.e. please stop calling). Then I call again yesterday and hear - oh yeah we got 25 in and there are 3 left...so much for being on the list. Anyway, its ok...I cant say that I feel that there is a big difference. The old seat was definitely softer but the new one holds you in place a bit better. My dealer charged $30 and did not require the old seat back.

Got mine Friday ...well kind of sort of. After weeks and weeks of not geting the bx seat for the same $$$ dealer gave me an even better seat from a larger tractor.

Man that high back is nice like getting a new tractor. There are bolt holes on the back of the seat I assume to mount arm rest to. I may nece get off the tractor again if I could get arm rest and a LCD TV

Just called the dealer (for the first time!) about the seat and he said "No problem, just bring in your old seat to swap it out".

Now I'm wondering how long they've had them??? They didn't call me!

Whatever, I'll be glad to get it. At first I didn't see what the big deal is - the original seemed OK. But after about ten hours I began to notice how weird it feels to be tilted forward like that.

To top it off I bought a Jinma 254 in a deal I couldn't believe was happening (see "chinese tractors" forum) and brought it home last Friday. The seat on that Jinma is WAAAY more comfortable than the Kubota seat!! Tell me THAT doesn't suck.
