Hi Jack,You refer to a grease "chalise" to lubricate the water pump bearing. I read the manual and it said to use white grease on the water pump, but not seeing any place to put this grease, I wrote it off to another inaccuracy of the manual which it is full of.
Could you take a picture of the old broken pump and show where this chalise? is.
I don't have a photo of the old pump.
Like you, I could never find it either. But the new pump is identical to the old pump, except the new pump has a grease-able Zerk fitting on top. It also has the grease "chalice" hole on the bottom, just like the old pump. I am posting a photo of the new pump and labeled it to show you where the grease chalice is, just like on the old pump. When mounted on the tractor, the chalice is on the bottom of the pump, just behind the pulley. You may need a small mirror and light to see it?
