New York State Municipal Pricing

/ New York State Municipal Pricing #2
Gov't and non-profits get additional discounts that don't apply to joe consumer. Infact the state can see better pricing in some cases than company employee's.

Yup, understand that because of volumes, good will, etc.

But is a $2000 difference.

Know that dealer margin is not that great.

Makes me wonder what it really costs to actually make those tractors though.

I realize you are a dealer but kind of had to laugh last year when I was looking around at tractors. Went to a dealer and after a long conversation he just calmly mentioned that since I was looking around for best deals, he would give me a tractor at dealer cost. Had a had time imagining that but he readily explained that with dealer rebates, signing over tractor rebates, etc, he didn't have to mark up the tractor as could make sufficient profit on the rebates and such. Told me if when I was out looking around, if someone offered me a deal at 10% above cost, just to laugh and walk away.
I did laughed about it and walk away but has always stuck in my mind.
He was quite gabby about a number of things regarding tractors, pricing, importing, etc.
Anyways, that was in Canada which is a different ball game that in the U.S.

I find that the prices differences between Canada and the U.S.
are anywhere between 60 and 100% with it being that much higher in Canada and that is not looking at the exchange rate.

Take care and have a good one.

Tom
