Newb Here w/? (dont we all!)

Hello Everyone!

I've lurked here off and on for almost a year and half before finally purchasing my first tractor. After reading everything I could from all ya'll, I ended up getting a 01 kubota b2910 last fall.

It has been a wonderful machine! Thank everyone for all your advice here. It has made not only finding my tractor easier, but also put me in the seat quicker. Ya'll are awesome!

Now for the newb question. I cant seem to find this answer anywhere so here goes... I had financed the tractor through Kubota and paid it off in april. Should I have received a title for it by now or do tractors not have titles (I'm I thinking to much along car lines)

First off, Welcome!

As far as I know there are not titles printed for tractors like there are for cars. My dealer said that the sales receipt with the serial numbers is what shows ownership. More like buying a lawnmower or stereo. There was talk of this in another thread a year or so ago. If I remember it correctly, someone sent off to Kubota and received something a little more official than the sales receipt, but it still wasn't an actual title. Hope that helps.

I have never seen a title for a tractor /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. I don't think they fall under the same rules as cars. Your bill of sale should have the serial number on it for identification and ownership.

No titles. If they did, we'd probably be paying something other than sales tax when we buy. Keep it that way.

Just keep your manuals and documents like you would for a refrigerator or lawn mower.
