I run Rotella T6 in the winter, and change it out to semi syn 15W40 for the Summer.

Wow we agree...yup if you only care on longer drains. But ones has to pull a UOA to see the real difference on you get what you pay for.
I still drain Amsoil way sooner then 25K miles but when you pay thousands for autos, who cars. It is like people buying a 500K home and then whine about installing a top of the line furance or ac..
Oil is cheap and I do not drain at 25K nor 3K either. I find 8 to 10K worked for me (and still using Lc20).

yea Amsoil's 25k drain intervals are a joke, engines use up additives at different rates, what works in one will not work in all some engines shear and beat oil's at a faster rate.
so people that blindly run it out that long are foolish.
The 25K oil change is a sales gimmick. It isn't that the oil is not capable of achieving 25k miles. It just needs help getting there. Amsoil own website says 10k miles in "extreme use" vehicles and then has a narrow definition of extreme use. I'm a believer in Amsoil capabilities, just not in their sales practices.
