Box Scraper Newbie - box blade don't sit straight.

I don't think either of these probably applies to your equipment but may:
If your lift arms (those on the tractor that connect to the equipment and near the wheels) have any type of slide and latch to help hook up to the equipment one could be unlatched.

Also your box blade could have more than one set of holes for the lift pins. You could be used the higher hole on one side and lower on the other.

But think you would notice either of these if those options are even there.

Spend time reading the manual. I refer to mine right often and have had my tractors for 6 to 8 years and normally still pick up some thing I did not know or had slipped my mine, like where are the drain plugs are.

OK, got this sorted out today. Just needed the sway bar adjusted and tightened up and all was level and straight.

Sounds like you did the correct thing to level the blade ie the digging in problem but you then said it wasn't setting square in between the wheels.
If you have the "deluxe 3pt hitch" check the stabilizer slides on the sides of the lift arms for equal adjustment. Also check to make sure the arm extenders that allow ease of hook up are locked in and not extended, sometimes when lifting in debri you can catch a limb or something and depress the release and pull the extender out.
