Rotary Cutter Newbie- Bush hog question

/ Newbie- Bush hog question #11
I always use the if the tractor will push it over method. Been workin for a long time sometimes ya just have to slow down and let the cutter do its thing.... If they are real big I will raise the mower then ease back down on them so it can chew em up...

My 5' King Kutter is rated to 1" saplings according to the book with mine (its taped underneath, if you have not found it)....but you may be able to tackle a bit more, as the blades are pretty stout. As has been said....go slow....try small stuff first and I think you (and I) will find a size that seems to work best.

First time tractor owner.

I have a Farmtrac 535 with a King Kutter 5ft bush hog. Question---

How large (in diameter) of saplings can I expect to cut down with this setup? The guy I bought it from said anything up to 2" would be OK, but I am somewhat hessitant to try.

Please advise

Thanks
Gary

2" green sapplings are pretty safe for a 5' rough cut mower and a tractor that can suitably power it.

A steady diet ain't good though. watch the woody stuff.
