Newbie buying 1st tractor

Hi, nice to meet everyone. Lots of nice people and useful information here.

We (wife and kids) are in Texas, looking to buy our first tractor.

Building a barndominium and have a lot of trenching and digging to do to get electricity to our heavily wooded site but also have hay pasture to manage.

To TBN Lots of Kids. I hope all those kids are big enough to help with work. We will be happy to help spend your money. How much land are you using the tractor for? Will it be used in the haying also? I am sure you want a backhoe with all that trenching to do.

If you're just doing trenching for draining issues, a rear dirt scoop may do the trick w/o all the big $$$. Pulled forward they will make a nice trench.
