Hi ya'll. just joined the forum and wanted to say hi. My wife and I own some land and are planning to buy a compact tractor, so we joined the forum to ask some questions.

Your profile indicates you are a homeowner and have 100+ acres and are planning to buy a compact tractor.
How will you be using the tractor? I don't think you will be maintaining all 100 acres with a small tractor. How much experience do you have with tractors?
You may not have all the uses figured out yet but a list of intended projects would help in answering questions when you have them.

We live just South of fort worth and own 1200 acres in Foard County. The ranch is leased for cattle, wheat and hunting. We spend a lot of our free time out there and plan to live there when we retire.
We have been maintaining roads and trails with a gator and various human powered implements for the last several years. We started looking at getting a trail mower to pull behind the gator, but quickly decided we could do a lot more with a compact tractor. We don't plan to use the tractor for actual ranch operations (the lessees do all that), it's just for the things we want to do. Maintaining areas that we had cleared with a dozer a few years ago tgat are growing back, smooth iut some areas that need smoothing, and removing some cedar and mesquite that's in the way. I know that a lot of folks would look at the acreage and think BIG tractor, but I'm pretty sure we could do what we need with a smaller (35 hp) tractor and that's why we are looking closer to 50 hp to make sure it will be enough.
