I found a 2006 bx24 with less than 100 hrs. Includes a 48" Bush Hog. What would be a excellent price for this machine? It appears to be in very good condition. I was hoping to pay less than $12k.

Thanks

I would say anything near 12K is excellent...Make sure it's not a scam. less than 100 hrs can be suspect.

It does not have a MMM. I really don't want one so that is good.

Meh...no MMM, so it's been hauling mulch and digging a few holes for 4 years. If the 48" Bush Hog had much wear to speak of, THEN I'd be more suspicious. But if it doesn't, then the hours don't sound out of line.

I use my tractor for everything around my property, including as my only lawn mower. I bought it brand new in Jan 2005 and I'm just over 300 hours. Take a conservative 25 mows a year for 5 years at an average of 1.5 hours per (the leaf-sucking-sessions are multiple hour voyages) and that's 187.5 hours. EVERYTHING I do other than mowing has, therefore, consumed approximately 1/3 of the total hour accumulation on my machine. And mowing alone, as a single task, has posted roughly 2/3 of my tractor's hours.

Make mine 2 years newer and take my MMM away, and I wouldn't have much more than 100 hours either.

Thanks. The bush hog barely looks used. I am hoping that it is as good as it looks believe me. I should have it tomorrow some time final negotiations in a couple of hours.

Check if it has the reinforced floor board. It was a recall item for the older BX24s and 2006 is one of the early ones.

I have one and it is a good all around small TLB. I don't know how many acres you have but a BX24 will handle brush hogging and landscaping for anything under 10 acres.

The gentleman that I purchased the BX from inherited it from his father. I ended up buying it for $10k. I am picking it up tomorrow. Not sure of the floor, but I will do that and I think I am going to order a skid plate.

We have 5 acres with three ponds to maintain. I can't wait to use this thing!
